Two Republic FC Academy Players Receive Boys National Team Call-Ups

Gavin Krenecki and Dominic Vegaalban called-up to U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team camp.

Sacramento Republic FC Academy goalkeeper Gavin Krenecki and midfielder Dominic Vegaalban have been named to the 48-player roster for the U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team’s lone camp of 2016. Led by Head Coach Clint Peay, the camp runs from Nov. 13-20 at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, Calif.

As part of the camp, the U-14 BNT will play two intrasquad matches as well as three matches against U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs Strikers FC, LA Galaxy and Real So Cal.

Both members of Republic FC’s U-13 Academy team, Krenecki and Vegaalban are the ninth and tenth Academy players to receive a national team call-up since Republic FC launched their Academy last season.

Republic FC U-13s will play two matches this weekend, facing Ballistic United SC at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday and EBU Oaks on 3 p.m. on Sunday at Cosumnes River College. Both matches are open to the public and admission is free.
