Single match ticket holders will be refunded with future friendly match scheduled for the season ticket package.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 21, 2017) – Sacramento Republic FC announced today that they have cancelled their friendly match against the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, Mar. 22, due to the pitch conditions at Papa Murphy’s Park

Due to the cancellation, Republic FC Season Ticket Holders will receive tickets to a future friendly match against an opponent to be announced as part of the ticket package.  Fans who have purchased single match tickets will receive a full refund through Ticketmaster.com.

The Sacramento region has seen historic storms and rainfall this season.  To date the Sacramento region has received over 10 inches more rainfall than average and the region is on pace for the wettest winter on record. The rain on Tuesday morning, including a period that saw as much as a half an inch of rain in a half hour, has caused large portions of the pitch to be several inches under water and deemed unsafe for play.

Republic FC will host their first USL home match at Papa Murphy’s Park on Saturday, Apr. 1 against Orange County SC. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster.com.  100 single match tickets will also be available for walk-up sale for Opening Night and every Republic FC home match this season.
