Sacramento Republic FC have agreed to a USL contract with midfielder Hayden Partain for the club’s 2018 season.
“We feel there is much more to come from Hayden as a player,” said Republic FC Head Coach and Technical Director Paul Buckle. “He is a hard-working player that is willing to learn and that showed last season. In his limited time with the club, he demonstrated the talent that he possesses and we are excited for him to grow as a player again this upcoming season.”
Partain originally joined Republic FC on Aug. 4, 2017, after a successful USL PDL campaign with the Des Moines Menace. The midfielder scored four goals and added two assists with the Menace, tied for second on the club in both categories.
Partain made 10 appearances, including nine starts with Republic FC, scoring his lone goal of the season against Reno 1868 FC on Aug. 19. He also made a substitute appearance and scored his penalty in Republic FC’s USL Cup Quarterfinal penalty shootout victory against Real Monarchs SLC on Oct. 20.
