Today, Sacramento Republic FC announced a three-year exclusive agreement with UC Davis Children’s Hospital and unveiled its inaugural kit, also known as the team uniform.
The partnership announcement and kit unveiling took place this morning at a public celebration hosted at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Hundreds of people attended the event and enjoyed free food provided by Pizza Guys and Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen.
The Lotto-brand kit features the Sacramento Republic FC crest and the team’s signature “Old Glory Red” as the kit’s dominant color. UC Davis Children’s Hospital logo is positioned across the front of both home and away kits.
“Soccer is the only sport in which the commitment we demonstrate to our partners is literally written across our chests,” said Sacramento Republic FC president Warren Smith. “We are honored to partner with an organization that is improving the quality of life for thousands in our region, not just in health care and research, but also as an economic force through jobs, technology and education. UC Davis Children’s Hospital is a champion for this indomitable city and we are proud to partner with them on and off the pitch.”
In addition to their logo placement on the kit or jersey, UC Davis Children’s Hospital will serve as the “Season Presenting Partner” and the official medical provider for the club. UC Davis Medical Center will provide health care services for Sacramento Republic FC players and personnel including treatment by Sports Medicine Program and a team of physicians led by Dr. Eric Giza and Dr. Jeff Tanji.
