Indomitable Fans –
As we enter this unprecedented time together, the entire team at Republic FC wants to thank you for your patience and continued support. Over the past few days, in an overwhelming fashion, the sports community around the country and world took a stand to emphasize the importance of community health and wellness.
Each day poses new questions and we are working to find answers and solutions that will bring soccer back to the pitch for you, for us, and for all. We are fortunate to have partners at Major League Soccer and United Soccer League committed to the safety and health of everyone connected to our game – from the fans, players, game day staff, vendors, and more. We’ll continue to embrace the advice of the expert health officials that have joined league task forces – and those locally, including our world-class partners, UC Davis Health.
Once we work through the complexities of rescheduling matches and can ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests, players and staff, we’ll work with our ticket holders to best serve them. Look for more information about next steps as we identify game dates and the restart of the 2020 season.
All Republic FC tickets for any postponed matches will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Additional updates regarding tickets or rescheduled matches will be communicated as information becomes available.
Feel free to contact Sacramento Republic FC with any additional ticketing questions at 916-307-6100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: What is the club doing to support community health and wellness?
A: The club has formed a task-force to evaluate the latest information and heed the expert advice from the CDC, state and local health officials. We are in continued contact with Major League Soccer and United Soccer League and will take these next 30 days to assess the situation while receiving the latest information and guidance from public health officials.
Q: Which Republic FC home matches are affected?
A: Currently only Wednesday, March 25 vs. Reno 1868 FC, Sunday, March 29 vs. OKC Energy FC, Saturday, April 18 vs. New Mexico United, and Saturday, May 2 vs San Diego Loyal have been postponed. The US Open Cup match on Wednesday, April 8 vs. Oakland Roots may been postponed, pending US Soccer and USL decision.
Q: When will these matches be rescheduled?
A: We’re working diligently with USL to have these matches rescheduled as soon as possible. Once we receive confirmation of the new match dates, we’ll release that information to our fans and partners.
Q: Will the rest of the season be affected?
A: At this point, only matches up to May 10 have been affected. We’ll continue to keep our fans and partners updated on all scheduling developments.
Q: Are any other club functions being impacted?
A: The club is adhering to the recommendations by the California Department of Public Health. Team members will still be available to support fan inquiries, but on an augmented schedule allowing them to flex their workspaces. The team’s midtown storefront will temporarily close, but its online portal – shop.sacrepublicfc.com – will still fulfill orders. Republic FC has also temporarily suspended the Natomas Spring Development Program, aligned with US Youth Soccer’s recommendations. At this time, the Spring Break Camp at Margaret Azevedo Park will be cancelled.
Check out our camps and clinics page for more information.
Q: I have a ticket to one of the affected matches. What can I do?
A: No need to do anything. Once the match has been rescheduled, your ticket will automatically be valid for the new date. For any additional questions, please contact SRFC at 916-307-6100 or email@example.com.
Q: What if I’m unable to attend the rescheduled match?
A: After the matches have been rescheduled and new dates announced, please contact SRFC at 916-307-6100 or firstname.lastname@example.org about options for transferring tickets to another 2020 SRFC match, receiving a credit towards a future match or all other options.
Q: What can I do to help the community during this pandemic?
A: Practice excellent personal hygiene habits, including washing your hands with soap and water frequently, coughing into a tissue or your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Stay home when you are sick. Do not go out in public when you are sick. Avoid medical settings in general unless necessary. Healthcare facilities are at capacity. If you are ill in any way call your doctor’s office first before going in.
Do not go to the emergency room unless essential. Emergency rooms need to be able to serve those with the most critical needs. If you have symptoms like cough, fever, or other respiratory problems, contact your regular doctor first.
Q: Where can I learn more about COVID-19?
A: The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has information available about the latest on the coronavirus. For local updates, visit the Sacramento County Public Health page, as well as the California Department of Public Health site.
