We’re only a few weeks into the U.S. Soccer Development Academy season and all five Republic FC age groups already have a handful of games under their belts. Let’s check up on how the youngsters in Old Glory Red are doing this season…
The Republic FC U-18/19s suffered their first loss of the young USSDA Cup campaign this weekend following a 4-1 loss to San Jose Earthquakes U-18/19s at Davis Legacy Complex on Saturday. Emmanuel Johnson netted a 62nd minute penalty kick, his second with the U-19s, to cut the deficit in half before San Jose tacked on two more. The Indomitable Club will look to return to winning ways this Saturday against LA Galaxy U-18/19s at Consumnes River College.
The Indomitable Club’s U-16/17s came from behind to draw 1-1 with San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday at Davis Legacy Complex. Alex Medina leveled the score late with a 75th minute equalizer, his third of the USSDA season. The boys in Old Glory Red will look to carry the momentum into this weekend’s match when LA Galaxy U-16/17s visit Consumnes River College on Saturday.
The Republic FC’s U-15s recorded their second clean sheet in as many matches following Saturday’s 0-0 draw against San Jose Earthquakes at Davis Legacy Complex. The boys in Old Glory Red are now unbeaten in their last three matches. The U-15s will look to make it four straight matches without a loss when LA Galaxy U-15’s travel to Consumnes River College on Saturday.
The Indomitable Club’s U-14s made it three wins from three matches after cruising to a 4-0 win over Santa Rosa United U-14s on Saturday. Oliver Fleet and Talan Rochelle got on the scoresheet for the first time this season while Ermias Yohannes netted his second of the season. Angad Singh also found the back of the net, elevating his season tally to four on the year. The U-14s will look to keep the winning streak alive when the club travels to EBU Bay Oaks U-14s on Saturday.
The Republic FC U-13s will look to continue their unbeaten run to kick off the 2019-2020 campaign on Saturday against EBU Bay Oaks U-13s. The Indomitable Club has yet to surrender a single goal all season and has outscored the opposition eight to zero.
