Halloween is a thing of the past and Thanksgiving is just around the corner as we enter the heart of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy fall season. Let’s check up on how the youngsters in Old Glory Red are doing as they enter the holiday stretch of the academy season.
The Republic FC U-18/19s were off over the weekend but the Indomitable Club returns to action on the road against De Anza Force this Saturday. Nathaniel Carrasco will look to replicate his October performances in November after netting three goals in three straight matches. The young forward even found the back of the net against FC Juarez when the SRFC first team played an exhibition match in early October against the Liga MX club.
The Indomitable Club’s U-16/17s picked up their first win of the season following a resounding result over Breakers FC, 8-0. Five separate players made their way to the scoresheet with Rafael Jauregui, Weston Bosch and Daniel Cervantes each beating the Breakers goalkeeper. Pablo Cortez de Leon bagged a brace while Alex Medina netted a hat trick to headline the rout. Next up for the boys in Old Glory Red is a road trip to De Anza Force.
The Republic FC U-15s picked up another massive win over the weekend after downing Breakers FC, 9-1. Aidan Vangelatos snuck six by the Breakers goalkeeper, his ninth goal over the last three matches. Ezekiel Cruz, Rosendo Vieyra, and Alejandro Zarate also netted goals during the weekend win. The U-15s will look to keep their winning streak alive this weekend against De Anza Force.
The Indomitable Club’s U-14s had a handful of games over the weekend and managed to snag a victory in their final match. Against Total Futbol Academy, Oliver Fleet scored the lone goal for Sacramento and in the draw against Strikers FC, Angad Singh equalized in the 44th minute. The final match of the weekend was a 1-0 win for the U-14s with Angad Singh netting the game-winner in the first half to seal the victory. Next up for the Indomitable Club is a trip to De Anza Force this Sunday.
The Republic FC U-13s played four matches over the weekend and finished the road trip on a high note following a 0-0 draw against Strikers FC. The U-13s will look to return to winning ways this weekend when the team travels to De Anza Force.
