Registration now open for tryouts on Jan. 15 & 16

With sights set on the 2022 season, Republic FC’s technical staff is already in the process of developing the next Republic FC roster. As the staff begin to recruit players from across the country, the region’s best players are invited to take a shot at joining Republic FC for the 2022 campaign.

The Indomitable Club will host its ninth annual SRFC Open Tryouts this winter. Participants will have a chance to impress members of the Republic FC technical staff and earn a spot on the 2022 training camp roster. With limited spots available, soccer players with dreams of igniting a professional career, are encouraged to sign up early.

Open tryouts will take place on Saturday, January 15 and Sunday, January 16 at Hal Bartholomew Sports Park in Elk Grove. Players must be at least 18 years old and are encouraged to register while space is still available.

Every year since its inception, Republic FC has hosted open tryouts and welcomed at least one player to training camp. Several players—including Ashkanov Apollon, Emrah Klimenta, and Elliot Hord—went on to sign full contracts with the Indomitable Club.

“Open tryouts give us the opportunity to have an eye on players who we normally wouldn’t have seen in the recruitment process,” said Republic FC President and General Manager Todd Dunivant. “We’ve signed players from open tryouts who have made significant contributions to the first team, so this is something we take very seriously as a club.”

Republic FC is committed to providing a safe setting for hopeful players looking to join the club. Participants will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test and masks will be required wherever possible. Spectators will not be permitted. The club will continue to abide by all applicable local health guidelines to ensure the safety of our players, staff, and community. Additional information about the health and safety protocols in place will be communicated to all participants upon registration.
