See some of the defender’s best plays on the backline

In adding Conor Donovan to the club’s defensive unit, Republic FC welcomes one of the USL’s best to the backline. The North Carolina native has been one of the league most reliable since entering the league, a reputation he’s proven at every turn. Last season was more of the same, as Donovan finished as one of just three players in the league to not miss a minute and OKC Energy FC’s leader in multiple statistical categories.  

For a glimpse of what Republic FC fans can expect from the club’s newest member in 2022, take a look at some of his top defensive plays, starting with this big-time stop against Memphis 901 FC in May last season:

Later in the same match, the defender delivered even more heroics – stopping what looked like a sure score with a last second clearance on the line. Arguably his top defensive play all year, it kept things tied late in a match that ended in a 0-0 draw.
