Nike is the official kit partner for the biggest brands in association football (soccer) including the U.S. National Teams, AS Roma, Atlas FC, Atletico de Madrid, FC Barcelona, Club America, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Pumas UNAM and Manchester City. Republic FC is one of seven franchises in the USL to wear Nike in the 2016 season. Nike is also an official sponsor of the USL.
Republic FC will feature a new Nike home, away and third kit for the 2016 USL season. The home kit features two tones of the club’s dominant Old Glory Red with subtle graphics and the official kit partner, UC Davis Children’s Hospital, across the chest. The away kit is white with subtle grey accents on it. Both the home and away kit features the club’s motto, Urbs Indomita, on the back neckline. Women’s fitted kits will be offered in addition to men’s and children’s sizes.
The home and away kits were unveiled at an event held today for fans and supporters at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento. The Sacramento Ballet, and select Republic FC players, revealed the new designs in a special performance that incorporated the beauty and grace of dance and soccer. The 2016 third kit will be released at a date to be determined.
Sales for the 2016 Nike kit will be launched both online and at the SRFC Team Store on Black Friday (November 27) at 10:00 a.m.
