Sacramento Republic FC midfielder Roberto Hategan has been called up to the upcoming U.S. U-18s Men’s National Team Camp to take place in Orlando, Fla. The camp will run from Feb. 4 through Feb. 11, led by Head Coach Omid Namazi and will feature two games against their counterparts from Costa Rica.

This Hatagan’s second call up to the U-18s this season and Republic FC’s seventh call-up for a first team or Academy player to the U.S Soccer Youth ranks. Hategan was called up to the first-ever U.S. Soccer Men’s Youth National Team Summit in early January, along with Republic FC Academy players Kwabena Boateng, Hunter George, Quincy Butler and Gavin Krenecki. The camp featured players from the U-16s  all the way up to the U-20s.

Hategan leads the club in call-ups, having been called up to a U.S. Soccer Youth team six times since first joining the Academy in 2015. Four of those were while he was still a member of the Academy under current Republic FC Head Coach and then-U-15/16 Head Coach Simon Elliott, while the last two have come as a member of the Republic FC first team roster. Hategan is one of three players who lead the current U.S. U-18 roster in seasons in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy with five seasons. The 16-year-old midfielder made his first team debut in a friendly on July 15, 2017, in a friendly against Liga MX club CF Pachuca.

Sacramento Republic FC began training camp on Feb. 1 and will host their first 2018 friendly on Feb. 15 against MLS side Seattle Sounders FC followed by MLS newcomers Los Angeles Football Club on Feb. 25. To view the complete schedule and learn more visit
