The Republic FC Academy U-12s, U-15s, U-16/17s and U-18/19s are off this weekend after playing the first two months of their 2017-2018 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Season.
This season saw the introduction of the U-15 age group, which previously was part of the U-15/16 age group. The U-15 age group features standings and playoffs like the U-16/17 and U-18/19 age groups, while the U-14, U-13 and U-12 groups focus on player development and don’t keep standings or compete in playoffs.
In their first season, the U-15s have faced tough competition in a competitive Northwest Division. The team currently sits in ninth place and will need to get back to winning ways before the holiday break to make a push for playoffs possible.
