On Saturday, Republic FC will host its annual Salute to Service night, honoring the contributions of local veterans and their families. This year’s match will have unique ties to veterans from the region, including Republic FC partner and Spring 2022 Small Business Showcase winner At Ease Brewing Co., as well as a special Captain of the Match. In addition to the activations before and during the match, a special group of 1,500 local veterans will be in attendance.
Each year, Republic FC works hand in hand with Veteran Enhanced Technology Solutions (VETS), a veteran-owned, rapid-response IT services organization that supports veteran and underserved communities by providing technology training, job placement and resiliency skills to ensure long-term success. VETS has helped thousands through financial rehabilitation while providing an avenue for veterans to serve their clients as they did their nation. This year, Republic FC matched VETS tickets to help provide a fun night to over 1,500 vets and their families.
“It’s incredible to provide an opportunity to celebrate veterans and their families, especially as many of them are working hard to contribute to their communities as civilians.,” said VETS Founder Ian Wagemann. “We’re grateful for the support from Republic FC, as well as the club’s fans.”
The club is also providing fans with an opportunity to support a local veterans group. This year’s Salute to Service apparel collection will provide Blue Star Moms with additional resources to support veterans and military families. 15% of sales from this year’s Salute to Service shirt, hat, and tank top will directly benefit the organization. Kickoff for Saturday’s match is set for 8:00 p.m. from Heart Health Park, and will be broadcast live on FOX40, FOX40.com and the FOX40 app, and streaming from ESPN+.
