Ahead of Republic FC’s annual Pride Match on June 7, the club is now accepting applications for the Community Pride Scholarship. One deserving student will be the newest edition of the Republic Rising Scholars series with a $1,000 grant, awarded in partnership with the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. Applications are open now through Sunday, May 25 at SacRepublicFC.com/Scholarships.

“Our Pride Scholarship has never been about just covering college costs—it’s about lifting up young people for being exactly who they are,” said Republic FC Vice President of Community Investment Scott Moak. “When we invest in them, we’re investing in a future that’s more inclusive, more creative, and way more powerful.”
To be eligible for the Community Pride Scholarship, applicants must be a resident of the six-county Sacramento region. They must also be enrolled at an eligible high school or in a minimum of six units at a California Community College, and intend to enroll in a four-year college or university, or a California Community College (minimum 12 units).
Applications will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 25 and the recipient will be honored in a special halftime recognition at the club’s Pride Match on June 7.
