With just over a month to go before its annual Pride Match, Republic FC announced today the return of the Community Pride Scholarship. In partnership with the Sacramento LGBT Community Center, the club is now accepting applications for the $2,000 scholarship. Students can apply now through May 22 at SacRepublicFC.com/Scholarship.

“Through our annual scholarship with the Sacramento LGBT Center, we are reaffirming our commitment to fostering an inclusive community,” said Scott Moak, Republic FC Vice President of Business Operations and Community Affairs. “We want to celebrate students who lead by example, uplift their communities, and embody the spirit of Pride wherever they go.”
Applicants must be a high school senior who intends to enroll in a four-year college or university, or a California Community College, or a student currently enrolled at a California community college or university with a minimum of six units. Additionally, they must live in the six-county Sacramento region. Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 22 at 11:59 p.m. A special committee of community leaders including representatives from Republic FC and the Sacramento LGBT Community Center.
The recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship to support their academic journey, as well as a VIP experience and halftime recognition at Republic FC’s June 6th Pride Match. The night will also mark the kickoff to the club’s month of Pride celebrations. With the support of founding partner Western Health Advantage, the club will also launch a special Pride-themed merchandise collection with a donation kickback to benefit the Sacramento LGBT Center. On June 14, Republic FC fans and staff will join forces to represent the Indomitable Club in the annual Sac Pride March & Parade.
