TALENT IDENTIFICATION

SPRING PRE-ACADEMY U12 PROGRAM
In Spring 2026, Sacramento Republic FC introduced the Spring Pre-Academy U12 Program as a dedicated identification and evaluation pathway for players competing for the following season’s U13 MLS NEXT Academy team.
The program brought together high-potential U12 players from clubs throughout the region for weekly training within the SRFC Academy environment. Players were evaluated using Academy methodology, standards, and coaching while maintaining their commitments to their current clubs. Following the program, 18–20 players were selected for the U13 MLS NEXT Academy roster.
The program reflects our commitment to identifying talent early, collaborating with local clubs, and creating a transparent pathway into the Sacramento Republic FC Academy.
