Join Sacramento Republic FC at St. Baldrick’s Day on Monday, Mar. 14 from 5-9 p.m. at de Vere’s Irish Pub in downtown Sacramento.
The annual event brings together members of the Sacramento region—including local businesses, schools, community members and members of the Republic FC family—to raise money in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to funding research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives.
In the weeks leading up to the event, participants and teams raise money by encouraging their friends and family to donate to cause. In exchange, participants shave their heads on St. Baldrick’s Day outside of de Vere’s. Proceeds raised for St. Baldrick’s goes to benefit Keaton Raphael Memorial, a local foundation serving families throughout the Sacramento region affected by childhood cancer.
Republic FC players, fans and staff have participated in the annual event at De Vere’s Irish Pub since the club’s inaugural season. Previous shaving participants include Republic FC President Warren Smith, defender Emrah Klimenta and midfielder Max Alvarez. Additionally, members of Tower Bridge Battalion also have a team that participates annually in the event.
Sacramento Republic FC fans are encouraged to participating by shaving their heads at the event, volunteering or donating to St. Baldrick’s. Fans may sign-up to shave their heads or make a donation using the following links:
