Sacramento Republic FC loan player Tommy Thompson is up for USL May Goal of the Month for his second goal in Republic FC’s 2-0 win against Seattle Sounders FC 2 on May 14.
Thompson scored the goal just after halftime in the 47th minute when midfielder JJ Koval ran up the pitch with the ball, but was tackled as he approached the box and the ball came loose. Thompson collected the ball and skillfully dribbled past the S2 defense to send a perfectly placed right-footed shot into the back of the net.
