SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 3, 2016) – Sacramento Republic FC Spanish spokesperson and broadcaster Jose Reynoso will be serving as the Spanish public address announcer for all of the Copa America Centenario matches to be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The Copa America Centenario kicks off Friday, June 3 when the United States takes on Colombia at Levi’s Stadium. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. PDT.
“Being the PA in this sort of tournament is one of those dream jobs, it is a once in a lifetime experience,” said Reynoso. “For this tournament to be in the United States and here in northern California is great and I am proud to be able to be in the PA booth. I want to thank Sacramento Republic FC for helping me get this opportunity.”
Copa America is in its 100th year of existence and is being held in the United States for the first time. This year’s tournament includes teams from North and South America including international powerhouses like Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and the United States. Copa America Centenario will take place in ten US cities including Santa Clara. The tournament will culminate in the championship game that will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 26.
The Copa America Trophy visited Bonney Field during the Republic FC versus Saint Louis FC match on April 23 and Republic FC will be hosting a watch party for the USA versus Colombia match on June 3 at de Vere’s Irish Pub in downtown Sacramento. These are just a few of many ways that Sacramento Republic FC has supported or been involved in the Copa America tournament.
Tickets for the four Copa America Centerario matches taking place at Levi’s Stadium are available at Ticketmaster.com. Matches at Levi’s Stadium include USA versus Columbia, Argentina versus Chile, Uruguay versus Jamaica and a quarterfinal match on June 18.
