Sacramento Republic FC extended their unbeaten streak to nine straight USL matches as they dominated possession en route to a 2-1 win against Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Saturday.
Just five minutes into the match, loan player Adam Jahn set up a goal for forward Harry Williams that set the tone for the remainder of the match as Republic FC outshot their opponents 21 to ten in the match.
After a mid-second half equalizer from S2, Republic FC rallied for the win as defender Mike da Fonte scored a match-winning header in the 78th minute. The goal was da Fonte’s first goal with Republic FC.
