Farm-to-Fork Night by Raley’s and UC Davis Children’s Hospital returns to Bonney Field for the third year on Saturday, Sept. 17 as Sacramento Republic FC host LA Galaxy II in their regular season home finale. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m.
The evening will celebrate Sacramento as the nation’s leader in the farm-to-fork movement.
“As our club and the sport grows in Sacramento, we’ve seen a parallel growth with the number of breweries in the region and food events. It is no coincidence that the fans that attend our matches are the same that attend the local beer and food festivals,” said Republic FC Vice President of Marketing and Communications Erika Bjork.
To start the day, Republic FC fans who wear their matchday gear to any Sacramento region Chipotle can score buy one, get one burritos, bowls, salads or order of tacos* as part of Indomitable Burrito Days, which runs Saturday and Sunday.
When gates open, Republic FC fans are asked to bring donations of healthy, non-perishable food items to the match that will go to Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, a local nonprofit that provides emergency goods and services to approximately 150,000 Sacramento residents throughout the region.
Before and during the match, Republic FC fans can also enjoy select food and drink specials, as well as food trucks, celebrating our local farm-to-fork movement. There will be $5 12oz draft beers, including the full selection of local and regional craft brews, as well as Heineken and Tecate Light. Additionally, hot dogs will be $4 at concession stands throughout the stadium.

During Farm-to-Fork Night presented by Raley’s and UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Republic FC players will be wearing specially made patches featuring Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Capital logo. The match-worn jerseys with patches will then be donated and auctioned off to benefit local charities centering around the farm-to-fork movement.
At halftime, Republic FC will also recognize three Glory Glory Sacramento Fund grant recipients—the Food Literacy Center, the Center for Land-Based Learning and Yolo Farm to Fork—all who work to promote healthy eating and living in the Sacramento region. They will receive a combined total of $50,000 to go towards farm-to-fork community projects.
