Sacramento Republic FC is looking for someone to bring to life the club's first-ever mascot, Old Glory Ted the Teddy Bear. Old Glory Ted will make his debut appearance on Wednesday, April 18, for Republic FC's home match against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at Papa Murphy's Park.
We're looking for someone who has a passion for the club and is committed to making Sacramento a better place to live, work and play, with an emphasis on play. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing and will represent Republic FC not only at matches, but at community events throughout the season, as well as at corporate partnership events.
Previous experience as a collegiate or professional mascot is preferred but not required. Must be at least 21 years old. Applications will be accepted through Friday at 5:30 p.m. and auditions will be held next Sunday at Papa Murphy's Park.

Essential Duties
- Serve as an ambassador for the Club at matches, in the community and at corporate partner and team events
- Develop the character of Old Glory Ted to truly represent the Club and the city.
- Work with Republic FC entertainment operations staff to plan and organize the mascots in-game activities
- Develop and execute new and creative mascot skits
- Develop new and innovative ways to integrate Old Glory Ted into community events
- Responsible for mascot costume operations care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
Qualifications
- Excellent project management skills; must be able to start with an idea and see it through to the end
- Excellent non-verbal communication skills; must be able to interact with fans while in costume
- Excellent physical skills, including, but not limited to, dancing, tumbling and gymnastics in order to perform small and large stunts
- Must have a positive, energetic, and creative personality
- Ability to perform activities with confidence and manage crowds effectively
- Ability to respond quickly and professionally to any situation
- Creative writing and presentation skills to develop ideas, videos, and live shows
- Ability to perform in front of a very large audience
- Ability to judge your surroundings very quickly, in order to interact with adults or children alike
