Sacramento Republic FC has joined the relief efforts to benefit victims of the deadly Carr Fire in Shasta and Trinity Counties.
As the devastating fire continues to rage through Northern California, members from Republic FC’s front office took to the phones during KCRA’s California Wildfire Relief Telethon on Monday morning to help raise funds for the American Red Cross. During their time at the station, the club was able to bring in nearly $18,000 in donations to support relief efforts.

Republic FC will also be hosting firefighter appreciation events during their upcoming match on Saturday, August 4th, against Fresno FC.
When fans arrive to Papa Murphy’s Park on Saturday, they’ll be greeted by two fire trucks with ladders raised presenting the American Flag. They will also have the chance to see the Sacramento-Fresno rivalry extend beyond the two professional soccer teams. Prior to the Republic FC match, the Sacramento Fire Department will face off against the Fresno Fire Department in a soccer game of their own.
