Midfielder Hayden Partain has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 28. This is Partain’s first TOTW honors since joining Republic FC last season. The 23-year-old midfielder becomes the 10th Republic FC player to be named to the TOTW this season.
Partain helped fire forward the boys in white last Wednesday, as Republic FC put four goals past Tulsa Roughnecks FC in a dominant win at ONEOK Field. Elliott Hord started things off with a scorching goal off a bad clearance by the Roughnecks.
Partain would make it 2-0 for the Indomitable Club, hitting a left-footed shot from outside the box that he tucked away neatly in the upper left hand corner of Chase Gentry’s goal. Partain secured his brace on a spectacular team play in the 80th minute, as Cameron Iwasa sent a pass in the box towards an incoming Jure Matjasic, who then made a dummy play on the pass for Partain to come from behind and slam home his second goal of the night and secure the 4-1 win.
