“Shannon underwent successful ACL and meniscus surgery,” said Dr. Lee. “We are looking forward to an uneventful post-operative recovery, rehabilitation and return to the pitch when he is ready.”
Gomez is currently in his second season with Republic FC after joining the club in 2018 from Major League Soccer’s New York City FC. The Trinidad and Tobago international led the team in minutes played this season prior to sustaining his injuries during Republic FC’s July 27th road match against Orange County SC.
