Following a fine first season with the boys in Old Glory Red where he scored once, Belmar bagged a team-high four assists during a shortened campaign including twice in one match to earn himself a Championship Team of the Week selection. He was helping to bring out the best in his teammates in the attacking third, and it helped to guide the Indomitable Club to a seventh straight trip to the postseason.

The impact he had following his debut year in Sacramento made it a priority to bring his positive presence back in search of 2021 Championship silverware. Head Coach Mark Briggs had praise for his striker on a number of different occasions this past year.
"I thought he was brilliant from start to finish," Coach Briggs said glowingly of his attacker following a two-assist performance against Reno 1868 FC on September 12. "He did everything that you want out of your number nine. I just wish he could have got that goal in the first half when he had that opportunity and deflected just wide of the goal. I was really pleased for him. He was fantastic."

Belmar’s versatility on offensive made him an ideal threat in Republic FC’s attacking style of play. Not only can the sturdy striker handle the duties of playing alone up top and helping to hold possession while his team pushes forward, but he can line up on either wing and drive by his defender with possession from outside the box. He proved he can deliver pristine crosses from the flanks and play alongside another fellow forward to make for a busy night for the opposing team’s back line.
It’s not always certain where Belmar will begin the night patrolling the pitch, but fans can be certain of one thing, he’ll give everything he has for the men he plays alongside.
