For the inaugural episode, defender Duke Lacroix will take the reins of the social media platform and couldn’t be more excited to get to know the loyal supporters of the Indomitable Club while sharing a little something about himself.

Lacroix, a native of New Egypt, NJ, played collegiately at the University of Pennsylvania where he was the first Black men’s soccer player at the university to be named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year. Originally an attacking player, Duke has since made the move to the defensive side of the pitch and has been a reliable rock at the back line during his time with fellow USL Championship outfits Reno 1868 FC and Charlotte Independence.

Republic FC’s newest defender is also a mentor and co-founder of Walkway Academy – an organization comprised of former scholar-athletes, current and former professional soccer players that take the time to help mentor and advise student athletes from around the world. Since April 2019, Duke has been the Director of Academics and Recruitment after he helped to create the academy in 2017.
