On Saturday, Republic FC’s Rafael Diaz got the nod in to start in goal for the Dominican Republic’s second straight World Cup Qualifier and for the second consecutive outing, Diaz denied his opponent from finding the back of the net.
Rafa and his side cruised to a 6-0 victory over Anguilla with the match being played in Miami, FL at Inter Miami CF Stadium.

The resounding win over Anguilla puts the D.R. at the summit of the Group D standings through two matches with six points. Panama also has six points, but Diaz’s side have a superior +7 goal differential.
Prior to posting two consecutive shutouts for his country, Diaz earned his first start for the D.R. on January 25 when Rafa held Serbia scoreless in his first career start with the national team following a scoreless draw.
