Nooligan describes his style as ‘contemporary with a flare of nostalgia. From cartoons of his youth to films he missed by decades, from golden age comics to classic newspaper strips, you will find a creator who has immersed himself in what he loves’.
As a fan of the Indoomitable Club, Nooligan is embracing the opportunity as an Artist Spotlight Contributor. Now, he’s working alongside the club he supports, and it’s been fun to create something uniquely Sacramento for other SRFC fans just like him.
“It's really an honor and a privilege,” Nooligan said. “I'm a huge, huge fan of Sacramento. I was born right downtown so it's a big thing for me to be able to do something for the city, for the club, and then all this stuff that kind of encompasses Sacramento. So, I'm very proud of it and I'm humbled and honored to be working with you guys.”
Not only is the poster something he’s hopeful the fans will enjoy as much as he has, but he’s also tremendously satisfied having provided something special to the city he calls home.
“We were able to kind of come up with a unique look and kind of playing with the day and night games and trying to kind of embody what it's like to be there,” Nooligan explained.
There’s no question Nooligan has an eye for art and a love for soccer, and his Indomitable Club-inspired work is something all SRFC supporters will want to get their hands on.
“That was one of the really exciting things about the live games, the energy of the fans, the Tower Bridge battalion. It's like the energy that kind of comes in and we tried to embody a lot of that into creating a cool, very clean and simple but trying to kind of convey the energy and everything that is those live shows and hopefully they come rolling back out that we can kind of build back up to that energy that we used to have.”
