Last week, Republic FC goalkeeper Carlos Saldaña’s save against Louisville City FC on September 3 – voted the league-wide September Save of the Month – was named a nominee for the league’s Save of the Year Honor. Just as it did earlier in the season, Saldaña’s save won the first-round fan poll, moving it on to the semifinal round of the bracket.
Voting for the next round – where Saldaña will be up against New Mexico United’s Alex Tambakis – is open now through Friday, December 9 at 9:00 a.m. PT at USLSoccer.com. Should Saldaña’s save move on it would go to the final round of voting.
A simple registration is required to vote – and fans who registered to vote for the quarterfinal round can use the same credentials. Fans can vote for Luis Felipe for Goal of the Year at the same link.
