SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Ahead of its 11th USL Championship season, Republic FC unveiled today its 2024 primary and alternate kits. Incorporating the sash that has become iconic in the club’s kits since 2014, the new uniforms feature two shades of red to signify the past and future, side by side. Both kits are available now at Shop.SacRepublicFC.com in youth and adult sizes.
In a design like no other uniform across USL Championship, dual tones of red envelop the primary kit, cutting across to form a modern sash to split the jersey. The sash has been one of the most recognizable features of Republic FC kits through the last decade of soccer in Sacramento. The darker Old Glory Red was first introduced as a part of Republic FC’s inaugural crest and has become an integral part of the club’s identity, present in every chapter of the club’s evolution. In contrast, the brighter Resilient Red symbolizes the club’s bold and bright future. The color was first introduced during Republic FC’s 10th season 2023. The vibrant red tone is recognized as one of hummel’s signature colors, worn by clubs around the world. Through the combination of the different reds, the design brings together the club’s past and future, united and moving forward in the present.
Set in stone white, the alternate kit features a more traditional sash of Old Glory Red and Resilient Red. The two-toned sash pays tribute to the club’s legacy and the path it has traveled since its founding, both on the field and in the community. Mirroring the diagonal line across the chest in the primary kit, the sash is anchored by the crest worn by players and fans alike.
As the club enters a new decade, the crest has evolved with it. Slight adjustments help modernize the crest, but it will remain forever tied to the club’s history with the bear and star at the center. Inspired by the California state flag, these elements have been a part of the club’s identity since its inaugural season, fit to represent the Capital City on the American soccer landscape. Along the back collar, “Urbs Indomita” translates to Indomitable City, the official motto for the city of Sacramento and a constant reminder of the people and community that the club represents on and off the field.
Republic FC moves into the next decade of its history alongside founding partner UC Davis Health, which continues to be featured prominently on the front of both uniforms as the official kit sponsor. For a second season, the sleeve will don a 988 patch, driving awareness for the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and creating advocates on the field and in the community to promote the lifesaving resource.
These are the fourth and fifth Republic FC kits manufactured with hummel, a bold, inclusive, and inspiring Danish football brand. hummel’s signature icons are featured throughout the kit, including the bumblebee logo and chevrons. In 2023, hummel and Republic FC teamed up to release three limited-edition kits for the club’s 10th Anniversary Season, paying homage to the moments, designs, and traditions that are a part of its storied history. A new core collection of hummel x Republic FC apparel will be released later in the season.

Republic FC is only 22 days away from beginning its chase for Championship silverware, opening the 2024 season at home against Orange County SC on March 9.
