SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Republic FC announced today that FOX40 will return as the club’s Official Broadcast Partner for the 2024 season. For the third season, each of the club’s 34 USL Championship matches will be broadcast live in English and Spanish on FOX40.com and Antenna TV 40.2, as well as through the FOX40 News mobile app. The upcoming season will also feature a record number of gameday broadcasts on FOX40, including the season opener, as well as extended coverage of the club through TV specials, weekly team updates, and more.
“Since teaming up with FOX40 two years ago, we’ve seen league-leading record viewership and continuous growth in our fanbase and broadcast value,” said Republic FC Chief Revenue Officer Dustin Vicari. “We’re thrilled to extend this partnership and build on the foundation we’ve laid, both on matchdays and throughout the year.”
“We are excited to renew our partnership with the Sacramento Republic Football Club. They’re an indomitable team whose excellence makes our community proud and embodies FOX40’s value of “Community Matters,” said FOX40’s General Manager Cathy Gunther. “We look forward to another great season cheering on the team!”
FOX40 will become the home for all Sacramento sports fans with Republic FC matches side by side with college basketball, Major League Baseball, and the National Football League, as well as additional sporting events through 2024 and beyond. As the season progresses, additional match broadcasts will be announced – to complement the full slate of streaming matches on FOX40.com, through the FOX40 News mobile app, and over-the-air at Antenna TV 40.2
Republic FC continues to push the standard for broadcast excellence in USL and professional sports, from its league-leading viewership – over 600,000 viewers across all broadcasts – to innovative ways to provide increased value for the club and its corporate partners. Building on the success of the partners’ first 30-minute TV special Home at Hughes last year, viewers can tune in to FOX40 throughout the season to watch Republic FC Rundown, a new series that gives fans an inside look at the club on the field and in the community. The first Republic FC Rundown will air on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. on FOX40, with a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s preparations for the upcoming season.
Broadcasters Rob McAllister and Adam Moffat will be back on the call for the 2024 season. McAllister has been the voice of Republic FC broadcasts since the inaugural 2014 season, while former Republic FC midfielder Moffat featured for the club in 2017-2018 before jumping into the broadcast booth in 2021. The Indomitable Club’s all-time leading scorer Cameron Iwasa will also join the broadcast for select matches. Long-time Spanish broadcasters Armando Botello and Milton Moreno will return for their seventh season together, along with Sal Acevedo providing additional support. The Spanish broadcast will be available for every match and can be accessed through the SAP function on viewer TVs, or by selecting the Spanish feed on FOX40.com and the mobile app.
In addition to match broadcasts, fans can tune in to FOX40 throughout the season for regular club updates and exclusive coverage and content. Every Wednesday, viewers can hear the latest on partnerships, community activations, and matchday opportunities on Studio40 Live (noon to 1:00 p.m.) and before each home game, fans can get the latest update on the team during the FOX40 Morning News on Fridays before the weekend match.
The 2024 USL Championship Season will officially kick off on Saturday, March 9, when the club hosts Orange County SC at Heart Health Park. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and tickets are available now at SacRepublicFC.com/tickets. The match will also be broadcast live in English and Spanish on FOX40, Antenna TV 40.2, FOX40.com, and the FOX40 News mobile app.
