After a pair of regional derbies, Republic FC sets out on the road this weekend to take on FC Tulsa. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in April at Heart Health Park, and the series flips to the Sooner state for the final regular season matchup between the two clubs.

Republic FC – The Latest
For the first time in six contests, Republic FC didn’t pick up a point vs. Oakland – its first defeat to the East Bay side since 2021. Oakland netted three before a trio of second half subs, which resulted in Sacramento putting pressure on their rivals late. Trevor Amann netted a brace off the bench, scoring in the 79th and 92nd minutes to increase his tally on the season to eight goals, and earn a selection to Team of the Week. Cristian Parano tallied a pair of chances created off the bench, assisting Amann’s first score and serving three crosses.
Know Your Opponent
Saturday’s match will be the second this week for FC Tulsa. On Wednesday, they took on Las Vegas Lights FC in a mid-week contest, securing three points in come from behind fashion after the Sin City club went up early. The result marked the club’s second straight victory after besting 2022 league title winner San Antonio 2-1 in Week 14 to snap a three-game losing streak where the club didn’t find the net.
Three of the club’s four scores in the last two games have come off the foot of Diogo Pacheco. The Portugese midfielder recorded a brace on June 8, scoring his first goal of the season just after the break in the 48th minute before finding the net again just after the hour mark in the 61st. He tallied another in Wednesday’s win vs. Miami, a 2-1 victory that also saw Philip Goodrum tally a pair of assists.
Match Notes
Republic FC has never lost to Tulsa in 13 all-time meetings, the longest streak between two clubs in a single regular season series. The two sides drew 1-1 at Heart Health Park on April 13.
Forward Sebastian Herrera – who missed the last matchup vs. Tulsa due to injury – scored his first goal as a member of Republic FC at FC Tulsa in 2023, scoring Sacramento’s lone goal in a 1-1 draw.
Midfielder Justin Portillo featured for FC Tulsa to start this season ahead of his transfer to Sacramento on June 6. With the Oklahoma side, Portillo tallied one goal and two assists in 10 games.
