Forward Stefano Bonomo has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 22 after putting in an impressive performance against San Antonio FC. This is Bonomo's second time being named to the USL Team of the Week, with the last time coming in Week 16 when he and Cameron Iwasa both earned spots after each scoring a brace against Tulsa Roughnecks FC.
Bonomo earned spot on this week's TOTW after securing his second brace of the season in Republic FC's 3-2 win over San Antonio. The 26-year-old first struck in the 21st minute, heading home a corner kick from Sam Werner to put the Indomitable Club ahead of the home side by a goal. Bonomo notched his second goal of the night, and the eventual match-winner, right before the halftime break, tapping in low cross from Juan Barahona. His two goals, coupled with a goal from Iwasa, were enough to get Republic FC a much needed three points on the road.
