2023 USL Championship – Republic FC: 14 starts in 27 appearances, 1,346 minutes played, 1 assist, won 59% of duels, 13 chances created, 19 crosses
Signed his first professional contract with Republic FC after earning an invitation to preseason training camp through the club’s 2023 Open Tryout. The sixth player since 2014 to earn a first-team contract after attending tryouts – and the first to sign his first professional contract with the club through the tryout process.
Sanchez joined Republic FC after two seasons with the Men’s Soccer program at the University of North Carolina. His career with the Tar Heels saw him log 769 minutes and tally one assist in 30 matches from 2020-2021. While in college, he also featured for USL League Two side PDX FC. A native of Vancouver, Washington, he played five years in the youth academy of Portland Timbers before his move to the college ranks. In 2019, he earned a call-up to USL Championship side Portland Timbers 2 on an Academy Contract, appearing in two games.
