Soccer season is back! Sacramento Republic FC host the Colorado Rapids (MLS) this Saturday, Feb. 13 at Bonney Field in their first preseason friendly of 2016.
In preparation for Saturday’s match, here’s everything you need to know:

GETTING TO THE MATCH
Parking
Bonney Field offers a variety of parking options. All vehicles headed to events at Bonney Field should use the Cal Expo Main Gate (located on Exposition Boulevard and Heritage Way) to access parking.
For easy parking and quick exit, fans are encouraged to use the Lot C parking entrance located at Exposition Boulevard and Challenge Way. Parking in Lot C is $8 per vehicle, cash only.
The closest available parking for fans attending Bonney Field are Lots And B, which are located west and north of Bonney Field. Parking in Lots A and B is $10 per vehicle, cash only.
Bike Valet
There will be no bike valet provided by SABA for Republic FC home matches on Feb. 13 and Feb 20. Complimentary bike valet will return to Bonney Field starting April 2 for Sacramento Republic FC’s USL home opener.
OPPONENT PREVIEW
Founded in 1996, the Colorado Rapids were one of the original ten MLS franchises. The Rapids won the MLS Cup in 2010 and reached the MLS Cup in 1997. They also hosted the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game this past July.
During the offseason and preseason, the Colorado Rapids have been busy with a variety of player transfers, moves and acquisitions. Notably, the club picked up striker and designated player Shkëlzen Gashi, who was acquired last week from FC Basel (Swiss First Division). In their most recent preseason roster move, the Colorado Rapids acquired striker Conor Doyle in a trade with D.C. United on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Doyle appeared in 56 MLS matche (19 starts) with D.C. United, scoring four goals and adding an assist.
This will be the first meeting between Sacramento Republic FC and the Rapids. However, Republic FC previously faced the Colorado Rapids Reserves in the inaugural match at Bonney Field on June 20, 2013 where Sacramento Republic FC captured a 4-3 win.
