This 13th of July will mark five years since Sac Soccer Day, the moment when Sacramento Republic FC—its crest, colors and name—was officially unveiled to the world in an emotional ceremony at Raley Field.
A lot has transpired in the five years since that historic afternoon.
We’ve chanted together more than 20,000 strong at our first match. We galvanized our region around the beautiful game. We’ve experienced both the triumph of victory and some heartbreaking defeats. We’ve made countless memories on and off the pitch. And we’ve seen many faces—players, coaches, staff—come and go.
But through all the change, through all the blood, sweat and beers, once thing has remained constant: our indomitable fans.
