The boys in Old Glory Red are back at Papa Murphy's Park for the third time in a week! Republic FC host Rio Grande Valley FC this Wednesday, Jun. 21 at Papa Muphy's Park. Kickoff will be at 8:15 p.m. due to the weather.
Due to expected high temperatures throughout the Sacramento region, Republic FC will be taking several measures to ensure that our fans, players and staff are as comfortable as possible despite the heat. These include:
- Pushing kickoff to 8:15 p.m.
- Free hand fans courtesy of UC Davis Health
- Free ice cream for all fans
- Multiple water stations
- Shade tents and water misters in The Market
- Additional shade
- Industrial fans
A reminder that small soft-sided coolers and sealed, unopened water bottles are allowed into Papa Murphy's Park.
The match will be broadcast live on ESPN 3 in the U.S. and on youtube for our international fans

In our commitment to elevate the experience, Republic FC has added some additional amenities this season for our fans at Papa Murphy’s Park. In addition to the live music, free bike valet and merch specials, you can also take advantage of $10 20oz craft beers before kickoff, additional shade in The Market, more food trucks, and an arts and games area just for kids including face painters.
For last minute decision makers, you are also guaranteed at least 100 tickets will go on sale for walk up at the box.
Other new items:
- Cali Grill is now located in The Market by the main merchandise stand and Beer Garden. Food trucks will now be found behind the north end grandstand. Cali Grill now features a new menu:
- Smoked tri-tip sandwich with a pepper jack fondue, pepperoncini and chipotle ranch
- Smoked turkey sandwich with cranberry cream cheese spread and arugula
- Pulled pork sandwich with BBQ sauce and apple slaw
- Loaded french fries
- Smoked jalapeño and cheddar sausage with pepper and onions
- All sandwiches served with chips.
- Hot cocoa and coffee will be available. The Java stand is located behind the north end grandstand and close to the main entrance or Green Gate.
- Papa Murphy’s Pizza will have cheese and pepperoni pizza available for purchase
For the 2017 season, we will promote a “Featured Craft Brew” each match. The craft beer will be a style or label not normally found or in limited supply. It will be a premium brew (sometimes also a higher alcohol content) offered at the same price as all other brews on tap. Limited supply. The featured beer will be located at the Main Beer Stand behind Sec. 106 on the west side.
Craft brew on tap and pretzels will be offered behind Sec. 120 on the SE corner of the facility for our ticket holders on the east side.
CA Ice Cream also joins the food vendors at Papa Murphy’s Park for the 2017 season.

Papa Murphy's Park offers a variety of parking options. All vehicles headed to events at Papa Murphy's Park should use the Cal Expo Main Gate (located on Exposition Boulevard and Heritage Way) to access parking.
For easy parking and quick exit, fans are encouraged to use the Lot C parking entrance located at Exposition Boulevard and Challenge Way. Parking in Lot C is $8 per vehicle, cash only.
The closest available parking for fans attending Papa Murphy's Park are Lots A and B, which are located west and north of Papa Murphy's Park. Parking in Lots A and B is $10 per vehicle, cash only.
