Sacramento Republic FC welcome ESPN3 to Bonney Field as they square off against Real Monarchs SLC on Wednesday. The match, which is the featured USL Game of the Week, kicks off at 8 p.m.
Wednesday’s match will be the first time in club history Republic FC have been featured on an ESPN network.
“This goes to show how leaders in the world of sports are actively looking to further grow the game in the United States,” said Republic FC Executive Vice President and Co-Founder Joe Wagoner. “It’s a feather in our cap, so to speak, that organization like ESPN is partnering with the USL to feature clubs like us on their networks.”
Michael Watts and Juan Arango will be calling Wednesday’s match on ESPN3 between Republic FC and Real Monarchs. Between Watts and Arango, both have called matches for numerous domestic and international media outlets, including ESPN3, Fox Sports Go, YES Network, the NWSL, beIN Sports, Gol TV, ESPN International, TALKSport, BBC World Service, World Football Daily and Radio Globo.
Republic FC wrap a long home match stretch on Wednesday, playing their seventh home match in their previous eight all-competition matches. Undefeated in their last four matches, Republic FC look to capture three critical points against Real Monarchs.
