Sacramento Republic FC defender Elliott Hord underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Jan. 24 to repair a bone bruise in his right knee. UC Davis Health and Republic FC team physician Cassandra Lee, M.D., performed the surgery with her team.
“Elliott underwent surgery to address a bone bruise in his knee,” said UC Davis Health Orthopedic Surgeon Cassandra Lee. “The surgery went well as we were able to clean up some cartilage to help the bone bruise heal. Elliott could return to the pitch in approximately eight to 12 weeks. We will assess his condition on an ongoing basis.”
Hord made 29 USL appearances in 2017 for a total of 2,204 minutes, 23 starts and one assist in USL play.
