“As an artist and ambassador for Sacramento, I'm excited to be a part of Paint the Park,” said Delgado. “Republic FC is not only a soccer club, but a global platform to showcase and inspire Sacramento’s talented and vibrant art community.”
A panel of judges will select the top three paintings that night and fans will be able to vote for their favorite of the three to determine the winner through an online voting process. All three finalists will receive an exclusive VIP experience at a match with the winner also taking home a $1,000 cash prize.
In addition to the painting of the scrim, Paint the Park will feature art-themed activities for fans, including an art lesson for kids, opportunities to make signs and a chance to win limited edition Republic FC scarves designed in past seasons.
Paint the Park adds to Republic FC’s history of collaborating with the local artist community. For the past three seasons, the club has partnered with Garibaldi, Delgado and Conrad to design exclusive season ticket holder scarves, as well as partnering with emerging artists to design team merchandise.
