Voters pushed Diaz to the top of the Week 8 rankings with 54% of the vote over four quality goalkeepers from around the league. On August 12th, Republic FC hit the road for its second matchup against regional rivals, Reno 1868 FC for a Group A showdown. Diaz helped the Indomitable Club leave with three points, by holding Reno scoreless with five saves – including a close-range save from Corey Hertzog and follow-up from Christiano Francois in a stellar double-stop.

Republic FC return to action next Wednesday, September 9, when the Indomitable Club hosts Orange County SC at 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast locally on KQCA My58 and Estrella TV Sacramento, as well as streamed on ESPN+.
