Sacramento fans rejoice, it’s the return of the Republic FC Mailbag with midfielder Tucker Bone answering anything on the mind of SRFC supporters this time around.
Fans are encouraged to submit questions by using the hashtag #TuckerMailbag for Tucker to answer the burning questions on the minds of Sacramento supporters.
Questions can be anything from asking Tucker about his decorated collegiate and two-year professional playing career, to wanting to know more about the player’s passions away from the pitch.
Bone is a massive fan of the Marvel comics and movies as well as some of the most beloved movie series including Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars. Signed during the offseason, Bone spent the 2019 campaign in Reno where he started 24 regular season fixtures for 1868 FC and two playoff matches. During lone season in Nevada, Bone scored four goals, registered one assist and was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week twice – Week 9 and 11.
Bone made his professional debut the season before with Colorado Springs Switchbacks where he logged 16 appearances and added one goal and one assist. The 24-year-old was originally drafted by Seattle Sounders FC with the 20thpick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
His college career was nothing short of remarkable after competing for four seasons at the Air Force Academy. During his time at Air Force, he was a two-time MAX Hermann Trophy semi-finalist and was honored with the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year award his senior year.
As a back-to-back First Team All-American recipient, Bone is one of just 15 players out of 110 that have been selected to receive the honor twice.
The Indomitable Club’s offseason midfield acquisition has ties to Sacramento where he was a two-sport letterman at Jesuit High School and played for a pair of area youth clubs – Placer United and Sacramento United.
