Sacramento will look to build on a 3-0 win over Bay Cities FC in their latest contest, and continue preparations for Opening Night on March 12.

The Latest on the Team:
The Indomitable Club has been hard at work these last few weeks. Since opening of training camp at the start of February, days off have been few and far between in preparation for the 2022 season. The club has taken on three opposing clubs in closed-door action, first taking on Las Vegas Lights FC and San Jose Earthquakes before their latest contest – a 3-0 win over against NISA side Bay Cities FC.
Saturday’s contest will be the third for Sacramento in an eight day span, part of the club’s ramp up to the demands of the in season schedule.

Central Valley Fuego FC has been very active announcing additions to their squad since the start of the New Year. Most notably, they brought over former Oklahoma City Energy midfielder Villyan Bijev, Orange County defender Nathan Smith, as well as local product and former Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ midfielder Anthony Velarde in their first three signings. More have followed, giving the side a plethora of talented players with experience in the USL Championship and abroad. Saturday’s scrimmage will be the first meeting between the two sides. However, it appears to be the first of many for the Central Valley neighbors. The clubs’ two cities share a history of competitive matchups, most recently in 2019 when Fresno FC featured in the USL Championship.
