With a national championship on the line, Republic FC has added two new partners to share the excitement with more fans throughout the region. Wednesday’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final will be broadcast locally, in addition to the national streaming broadcast, live on two radio stations, SacTown Sports 1140 and La Ranchera Superstation. The club’s broadcast teams of Rob McAllister and Adam Moffat, as well as Armando Botello and Milton Moreno, will call the game live from Orlando on 1140 AM and SacTownSports.com in English, and 104.7 FM, 890 AM, LaRancheraSuperStation.com, and the La Ranchera Superstation app in Spanish. Coverage will begin at 4:45 PM with a special pre-game show on both stations.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final between Republic FC and Orlando City SC is set to kickoff at 5:00 p.m PT from Exploria Stadium. With support from Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby, Kellogg’s, and various Indomitable Partners, Republic FC will host a watch party for the city and club fans to celebrate this historic feat. The watch party and the thousands of fans in Cesar Chavez Plaza are encouraged to arrive early and showcase the energy in the city during live hits in the national broadcast. Republic FC is the first team from outside Major League Soccer to make the competition’s final match since 2008, could become the first lower-division side since the 1999 Rochester Rhinos to raise the trophy. On their way to the final, Republic FC bested three MLS clubs, defeating San Jose Earthquakes in the Round of 16 and Sporting Kansas City in the Semifinal at home, and upsetting LA Galaxy on the road in the Quarterfinal.
This weekend, Republic FC continues its regular season calendar with a match against Eastern Conference leading Louisville City FC on Saturday, September 3. Kickoff from Lynn Family Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m. PT, and the match will be broadcast live on Antenna TV 40.2, FOX40.com and the FOX40 News mobile app, and streaming on ESPN+.
