To wrap up the Fall side of the schedule, Republic FC’s Youth Squads each set out to Southern California for a weekend of tournament action. Each side will take on top competition from around the country at the MLS NEXT Fest Showcase and the Surf College Cup, looking to bring home hardware and head into the holiday break on a high note.
Action for the U15 and U17 sides takes place from Indio, California in the MLS NEXT Fest Showcase. The annual tournament is the biggest event of the season, featuring over 300 teams and set to run from December 2 to December 8. The setting will likely be daunting, but also, an important development opportunity for all who make the trip. Emerging from a challenging setting against unfamiliar, top-level competition is what separates good teams and players from the rest. To boot, they’ll take the pitch in front of coaches and talent evaluators from college programs, professional clubs, and national team staffs.
