SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Republic FC has announced that on August 26th, the Indomitable Club will return to the site of its first home match for a 10th Season Celebration at Hughes Stadium. The match will celebrate the 10 years Republic FC has been connected to the communities of Sacramento, reflect on the proud history of the club, and once again remind the American soccer community of how much the game is loved in the region. The Indomitable Club will host Orange County SC, one of the four visiting teams to play at Hughes Stadium in the inaugural season before the team’s current home opened for league play on June 20, 2014.
“Republic FC has risen to great heights because of the support of our incredible fans and community, from the first games at Hughes Stadium to every match day this season,” said Republic FC CEO and Chairman Kevin Nagle. “We’re excited to celebrate ten seasons, with a special match where it all started for us. It will be another thrilling experience with 20,000 fans cheering for the Indomitable City and Indomitable Club.”
Beginning tomorrow, May 25 at 10:00 a.m., Republic FC Indomitable Members will be able to access tickets online via their Ticketmaster Account Manager. The club’s members will also have the first opportunity to purchase additional seats before tickets go on sale to the general public. In conjunction with today’s announcement, the club has launched a landing page at SacRepublicFC.com/Hughes, where fans can find everything they need to know about this historic night, including the most frequently asked questions. In the coming days, Indomitable Members will be contacted by a club representative to assist with purchasing additional tickets and to share more information. The club will also launch an exclusive public pre-sale on Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. with tickets starting at $10. Fans can sign up for pre-sale access at SacRepublicFC.com/Hughes. Remaining tickets will be available to the general public beginning at 10:00 a.m. on June 5 at SacRepublicFC.com/single-match-tickets.
To celebrate the occasion, the match’s presenting partner SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union—a second-year corporate partner of the club—will provide a free commemorative t-shirt to the first 10,000 fans through the gates.
The night will mark a special homecoming as well, as former Republic FC players from various seasons return to the pitch for a pre-game presentation. Additional special moments throughout the match will celebrate and thank the club’s Indomitable fans, partners, and some of the greatest stories from the club’s history. At halftime, the club will award a total of $10,000 in grants to 10 community groups making an impact in the region. The organizations will also receive developmental support (marketing and communications consultation, social media support, and networking opportunities) from Republic FC throughout the year. Limited-edition merchandise will be released in the coming weeks to commemorate 10 seasons of Republic football, as well as the celebration match.
