Republic FC and Elk Grove Charter School are extending their partnership to support the region’s youngest generation of soccer players and fans, on and off the pitch.
Beginning today, families can sign up to join Republic KC, a new kids club designed to foster a lifelong passion for the game and create memorable experiences for fans 12 and under, as well as their families. There are two levels at which families can join Republic KC – Kids Club (free) and Champions Club ($40). Both options include an official member badge, behind-the-scenes experiences, birthday month merchandise discounts, downloadable activities, and more. The Champions Club also includes exclusive Republic KC merchandise and discounted registration for youth camps & clinics.
The club’s partnership with Elk Grove Charter School also plays a key role in the success of its youth development program, providing opportunities for academy and first team players to continue their education while also pursuing their dream of playing pro soccer. Republic FC first team players Blake Willey and Chibi Ukaegbu currently attend, while former graduates include Rafael Jauregui and Mario Penagos.
Through a unique approach, the school creates individualized educational opportunities to provide students more flexibility for training and travel schedules as well as accelerated educational growth through specially tailored programs.
But it’s not just professional and aspiring athletes that can benefit from attending Elk Grove Charter School. In addition to schedule flexibility, the school’s educational approach is for any student who seeks an alternative to the traditional classroom-only instructional approach. The school serves 7th-12th grade and is completely free in partnership with the Elk Grove Unified School District. To learn more about Elk Grove Charter School, visit egcs.egusd.net.
