On what needs to happen to get three points…
“We have to be clinical, and be better organized. Oakland got opportunities and took advantage of them [on Wednesday]. We put ourselves in a handful of great scenarios with good conditions, but we didn’t take the opportunities like we should have. We’ll need to do that to win.”

On preparing for San Diego this week…
“We’ve wanted to get our bodies moving, so we’re trying to stay fresh. San Diego is a very good team, they move the ball well and create overloads in certain areas of the field. We have to be aware of those and combat them when we have the ball. We just need to go down there and produce.”
On every match being important in the final stretch…
“We need to take one game at a time, each one as it comes. We need to focus on every match and make sure we are ready to go. Then we have to go out and produce, so hopefully we can go out and get the result that we need.”

On training this week…
“We’re trying to get our legs back. We have a tough stretch of games coming up and they all count the same. They’re all three points. We all have the same goal every time we step on the field. Our goal is to get three points. We didn’t get the results against our rivals away from home, unfortunately, but we’re still in the picture. We’re still pushing and we’re still going to keep fighting for 90 minutes every time we step on the field.”
On if every remaining game being a playoff match changes the team’s preparation…
“It doesn’t. We come with the same intensity, focus, drive and determination. The coaching staff and training staff has been doing everything they can to give us the best opportunity to win. Players are competing. That’s what we’re going to go out there and do. It doesn’t change too much of what we’re doing, but we have to go in and get the results.”
On how the team’s history against San Diego influences confidence ahead of Saturday…
“It’s important to recognize the history of certain competitions, but at the end of the day, you step on the field and it’s a clean slate. They’re going to bring what they’re going to bring and we’re going to bring what we’re going to bring, regardless of what’s happened in the past. We’re going to do our best to get three points. At the end of the day, it’s you against your opponent on that given day, and what happens, happens that day.”

On the importance of a good performance…
“We need it. Obviously, we’re running out of points and time and we need to start stacking up some wins. It will be full steam ahead tomorrow night as we go and work hard for three points. It’s a little bit more pressure but we need to make sure we go out and get the maximum every week.”
