U-19s
The Republic FC U-18/19s opened their USSDA Cup campaign this weekend with a 2-1 win over FC Golden State on Saturday. Defender Hayden Sargis, who is also a member of the SRFC first team, scored his first goal of the season and Emmanuel Johnson added a goal of his own to give the visitors their first win of the season. Sunday’s six-goal thriller against San Diego Surf ended as a 3-3 draw as Daniel Cervantes bagged a brace and Cole Barrett scored his first of the year.

The Indomitable Club’s U-16/17s fell to FC Golden State U-16/17s in Southern California on Saturday, 5-2. Republic FC struck twice in the second half with Josemaria Barrera and Alex Medina both managing to get on the scoresheet. On Sunday, Medina scored his second goal in as many games and Nathan Jimenez also found the back of the net in SRFC's 3-2 loss to San Diego Surf. The boys in Old Glory Red have the chance to pick up their first win of the season Saturday against San Jose Earthquakes U-16/17s.

On Saturday, the Indomitable Club’s U-15s came-from-behind twice to down FC Golden State U-15s, 3-2, with Donovan Turner scoring the game-winner in the 66th minute. Both Ezekiel Cruz and Aiden Vangelatos netted equalizers before Turner gifted Republic FC their first lead of the match. The following day, the boys in Old Glory Red shutout San Diego Surf U-15s 1-0 with a Lucas Liu goal in the 34th minute ultimately proving to be the difference in the match. This was Liu’s second score of the season.

Isaac Emojong netted a hat trick while Matteo Salcedo, Tyler Yzuel, and Ermias Yohannes each snuck one past the San Juan goalkeeper to complete the rout. SRFC will look to make it three wins from three matches this weekend at Santa Rosa United U-14s.

Republic FC’s U-13 team collected their second clean sheet in as many matches after blowing by San Juan SC U-13s on Saturday, 7-0. The shutout was goalkeeper Izabella Duink’s second clean sheet of the season. Veer Joshi ended the afternoon with a hat trick while Omar Marquez bagged a brace of his own. Jackson Martin and Josiah Thompson both netted a goal a piece to round out the resounding result.
